Why Are We Called AR? If you haven't guessed already, AR stands for my name—Asif Riasat, co-founder of the business. 😊 The truth is, my wife Nagheena actually came up with the name! I originally wanted to call it Mr. & Mrs. Photography (I know, right—how cringe would that have been?!). So, a little bit about us… We're based in Nottingham but travel all over the UK, specialising in wedding photography and filming. While weddings are our main focus, we also help with corporate advertising. Our JourneyI've had a passion for photography since childhood, and even after graduating with a Master's in Pharmacy, my love for capturing moments never faded. In 2016, we officially launched AR Studio, embarking on a creative journey to turn my passion into a fulfilling career. At the time, I was the sole photographer, and Nagheena tagged along (though she mostly came for the food). As demand grew, Alhamdulillah, I trained her as a photographer, and I shifted focus to filming. We are both self-taught, learning from each other and doing plenty of research along the way.A few years later, my "gremlin" of a sister Seema joined us. Nagheena moved over to the filming side, and Seema became our newest photographer. I think Nagheena only started filming, so she could use the drone! And between you and me, Nagheena is way better than me at flying the drone. (I’m not saying she wrote this part, but… it’s true 😉). Today, we have an amazing team of six, consisting of photographers and filmmakers who share our passion and creativity, after all we trained them 😊. They help us capture moments that perfectly represent each unique event, and together, we create what you know as AR Studio. Our PhilosophyWe love capturing those raw, candid moments, and we do our best to let the day unfold naturally, without too much interference. Of course, we do provide some gentle guidance throughout, but we aim for a relaxed experience where you can truly enjoy your day. Both Nagheena and I are pharmacists (and yes, if you haven't figured it out yet, that's how we met – but that's a story for another day!), so we know how important it is to maintain professionalism and a calm demeanor, especially on such a big day. That sense of reliability and attention to detail is something we bring to every event. Our goal is simple: we want to continuously evolve and find new ways to make each wedding, event, or celebration unforgettable.
